
Constance Chrones

Meet one of our Programming Co-Chairs, Constance Chrones! Constance is originally from Glenview, IL growing up at St. Andrews Chicago. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020, and is now a 2L at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. At UIC Law, Constance is on the board for the Hellenic Law Society, an active volunteer for the Hellenic Bar Association, and just this past summer she was a legal extern for the UIC Law Pro-Bono Litigation Clinic. Within the Metropolis, Constance has been on the YAL Chicago Board for two years, participated in Junior Olympics, attended Fanari, was a camp counselor at Fanari, and was involved with OCF at UIUC. In her free time, Constance loves watching the Real Housewives Franchise!

Marina Dimas
Marketing Committee
Marina is a Chicago native and grew up attending Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Westchester, IL. She graduated from Indiana University in 2019 and currently works for an agency as a Media Planner for Quaker Oats brands. Marina is heavily involved within the Church both at the metropolis and Archdiocesan level. She has served on the YAL Chicago Board for three years and helped plan our conference for the last two. Additionally, she dedicates her time to initiatives that are spear-headed through the Office of Vocation and Ministry at HCHC such as Telos and CrossRoad. Outside of ministry, you can find Marina traveling, baking and attending concerts. She can’t wait for the 2023 conference and is so excited to welcome the YAL family back to the Windy City!

Peter Karos
Speaker Committee
Meet another one of our Speaker Chairs, Peter Karos! Peter is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota but currently resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin attending Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Peter studied Finance at the University of Minnesota while being involved in multiple finance clubs, Camp Catanese, and slow pitch softball. Peter works at RW Baird as an Equity Research Analyst focusing on covering software stocks. Within the Metropolis, Peter was involved in OCF, Antiochian Village, a St. Mary’s Camp Counselor, a chanter at his parish, and a part of YAL Twin Cities. In Peter’s free time, he loves to golf, travel, hang out with his friends, and watch his favorite tv shows. Peter is looking forward to joining the YAL Chicago Conference team this year!

Evalina Bournias
Conference Co-Chair
Meet one of our YAL Conference co-chairs, Evalina Bournias!
Evalina is back for her third year on the conference board, and she couldn’t be more excited! She is from the northern suburbs of Chicago and is a steward of her parish, Holy Taxiarhai and Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church of Niles, IL. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (I-L-L!) in 2020 with a degree in Economics, and currently works in the Human Resources department for IMS Integrated Merchandising Solutions. Evalina has always loved being involved in the Metropolis since she was a young age and continues to be heavily involved. She currently serves as a GOYA advisor, Telos Project board member and Jr. Olympics coach for her parish, as well as a member of the YAL Chicago board. Some things that Evalina loves (almost) as much as her faith are jet-skiing, Tik Tok, and pizza!

Evan Vouris
Conference Co-Chair
Meet our other YAL Conference co-chair, Evan Vouris! Evan was raised in Orland Park, IL growing up at Saints Constantine and Helen in Palos Hills. This is Evan’s first year as the Conference Co-Chair and is ecstatic about this role. Evan graduated from DePaul University with degrees in Accounting and Finance and is currently in the process of maintaining his CPA. He works as a Staff Accountant at a Private Equity firm, GTCR. Within the Metropolis, Evan has been a Junior Olympics coach, a camp counselor for Fanari, and attended both Ionian Village and Fanari. In his free time, you can catch Evan playing in various men’s soccer leagues, or watching his favorite tv show The Sopranos!

Zack Chiganos
Service Project Committee
Zack is new to the conference board but is no stranger to YAL conferences! Zack was born and raised in Downers Grove, IL. He attends Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, where his papou, Fr Bill of blessed memory, was the head priest. Zack attended Illinois State University and received a business degree with a minor in entrepreneurship. He now works at Zogalo Foods, as a production manager for his family’s business. Over the years Zack has been very involved within the parish and metropolis, playing basketball for the HA team, counseling at Fanari Camp, and an active member of YAL. In his free time, you can find Zack playing in his men’s league basketball team and traveling.

Georgia Kotsinis

Meet Georgia, one of our Registration Co-Chairs! Georgia was born and raised in Glenview, IL growing up at St. Andrew’s Chicago. Georgia graduated from Boston University with a degree in communications with a minor in Spanish. In undergrad, Georgia played a key role in restarting the Boston city schools OCF, wrote for the music section of Boston University’s lifestyle magazine, in addition to being involved in her sorority! Georgia is currently working in the Marketing and Communications for the National Philoptochos in New York City, and hopes to eventually come back to Chicago in the future, possibly working for the tourism bureau of the city, or the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. Georgia’s involvement spans from being a Fanari winter counselor, OCF in Boston, and has served on the YAL Chicago Executive Board for two years. In her free time, Georgia loves comedy shows, biking around the city, hanging out with friends, and watching her favorite movie, Clueless!

Tia Kotsiopoulos

Meet Tia Kotsiopoulos, one of our Marketing Chairs! Tia was born and raised in Barrington, Illinois growing up at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church in Palatine, IL. She graduated this past May from Loyola receiving her degree in Marketing, with a minor in Finance. Tia is a current graduate student, focusing on receiving her Masters in Business Administration this May from Loyola. In undergrad, Tia served as the president of HSA, was involved in OCF, a member of the Pre-Law society, and Kappa Delta Sorority. Tia remains very busy as she is also on the executive board for the National Hellenic Student Association (NHSA), YAL Chicago, and is a member of her parish’s YAL chapter. In her free time, Tia loves to travel, hang out with family and friends, or watch her favorite tv shows. Tia is looking forward to joining the YAL Chicago Conference Board this year!

Yanni Motter

Meet one of our Service Project Chairs, Yanni Motter! Yanni is originally from Des Plaines, IL and grew up at St. Basil Chicago. Yanni is a current senior at Southern Illinois University studying Automotive Technology. He is currently a manager for the SIU Rec Center and his future career goals include working for General Motors as a Field Engineer or work for Toyota in the TRD department. Yanni has been involved within multiple areas of the church and Greek community including being a member in GOYA, participating in Junior Olympics, and being an altar boy. Yanni has also attended IOCC missionary trips, is a camp counselor for Fanari, and loves attending YAL, OCF, and HSA events. In his free time, Yanni loves working on his cars, and enjoys watching his favorite movie, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off! Yanni is very excited to join the YAL Conference Board this year!

Katherine Murphy

Meet Katherine Murphy, one of our Programming Co-Chairs! Katherine is originally from St. Louis, MO growing up at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in her hometown. Katherine graduated from the University of Evansville receiving her Bachelor of Science in Public Health. In college, Katherine founded her university’s OCF chapter, was social director for her sorority Chi Omega, and president of her local Circle K chapter. Katherine has interned with the American Red Cross and Ronald McDonald House charities, and more recently interned with the Autism Society of Central Virginia. She currently works as a care coordinator at a St. Louis non-profit organization. Katherine was a Crossroads camper and was a part of the Ionian Village Staff. In her free time, Katherine likes to try local restaurants, attend festivals, and enjoy the outdoors. You can always find Katherine watching Gilmore Girls or cheering on her favorite sports team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Katherine is very excited to join the YAL Chicago Conference Board this year.

John Panos

Meet another one of our Registration Chairs, John Panos! John was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but currently resides in Lincoln Park, IL. He currently attends St. George Greek Orthodox Church. John graduated from the University of Cincinnati (Go Bearcats!) where he majored in Marketing with a minor in Sport Administration. In undergrad, John was the equipment manager for the UC football team and was the ball boy during game days. He was also the president of AKPSI Business Fraternity and played a key role in turning the organization from a simple social group to the best business school organization on campus. John also founded the OCF chapter on his campus. John currently works at Reynolds and Reynolds as an account manager covering the Chicago area and Wisconsin. Growing up in Pittsburgh, John attended Camp Nazareth and also counseled for two summers. He was the president of his hometown parish’s GOYA while in high school, a member of a Cretan dance group, and went to Ionian Village in 2014. John is also on the executive board for the Metropolis of Pittsburgh conference, and is so grateful to join the board for the YAL Chicago Conference. In his free time, John loves to try new restaurants for his food Instagram @panos’plates, watch cooking shows, and travel!

Dionisi Papadatos

Meet one of our finance chairs, Dionisi Papadatos! Dionisi grew up in Glenview, IL and is a member at Holy Taxiarhai and Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church in Niles. He graduated from Miami University (OH) in 2020 with a degree in Finance. His current role as a Financial Advisor and College Unit Captain with Northwestern Mutual has allowed him to network and make lifelong connections. Throughout the years, Dionisi has always been involved in the Greek Orthodox community, including participation in GOYA, Junior Olympics, as well as serving the altar from an early age. His first language was Greek, with descent from Kefalonia, one of the Eptanisa; famous for its beaches and mandoles. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, attending live music events, and feasting on Chipotle!

Katerina Papaioannou

Meet one of our Speaker Chairs, Katerina Pappaioannou! Katerina is originally from Arlington Heights, IL and grew up at St. John the Baptist. Katerina is a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in History with minors in Secondary Education and Psychology. Katerina is heavily involved on campus as members of OCF, HSA, and Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. She has been on the OCF Illinois Executive Board for the past three years and in addition to being a Golden Apple Scholar. Her involvement at St. John’s includes being a Sunday School teacher, a Junior Olympics coach, and being a member of her parish’s YAL. Katerina is also a Fanari camp counselor. In her free time, Katerina enjoys spending time with friends and family, biking, cooking, and watching her favorite movie: The Princess Diaries. She has two cats named Lambie and Pepe, and is so looking forward to joining the YAL Conference Board this year and seeing everyone!

Christina Pappas
Finance Committee
Meet one of our Finance Chairs, Christina Pappas! Christina is originally from Glenview, IL and grew up at Saints Peter and Paul. She graduated from the University of Iowa studying accounting and now works as a Tax Associate at PwC in Chicago. Christina was an intern at the Metropolis of Chicago, attended Fanari as a camper and worked as a counselor, and also went to IV. In Christina’s freetime, she loves to workout, read Colleen Hoover books, socialize, and bake with yiayia. Christina is looking forward to her involvement with the YAL Chicago Conference Board this year!

Eleni Sakas
Service Project Committee
Meet Eleni Sakas, another one of our Service Project Chairs! Eleni is from Antioch, IL growing up at St. Demetrios in Libertyville. Eleni is a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in Media Arts and Cinema Studies with a minor in Recreation, Sports, and Tourism. Eleni also has certificates in Film Production and Sports Media. At U of I, Eleni is involved with her OCF chapter as the Vice President of Media, Good Morning Illini, Illini Sports Night, and was an intern for the Fighting Illini Sports Production. Within the Greek community, Eleni is a camp counselor at Fanari, a counselor for the Metropolis of Boston Camp, a participant in Junior Olympics, as well as the Oratorical Festival. In her free time, Eleni loves to create media or travel to National Parks. Eleni also loves watching movies such as Interstellar, The Offer, Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes, and is always listening to Mt. Joy!

Kiriako Tsoukoulas
Meet our third Finance chair, Kiriako Tsoukalas. Kiriako is originally from Munster, Indiana and grew up at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Schererville. He attended Indiana University where Kiriako received a BS in Chemistry, and is now studying to get his Masters of ChemE at Northwestern University. Eventually, he would love to pursue a career in the biotechnology space. Kiriako comes from a wide background in the Greek community including a four time Junior Olympics Ping Pong Doubles Gold Medalist, two time Junior Olympics Soccer Gold Medalist, and the co-lead souvlaki flipper at the St. George Greek Fest every year. During his free time, you could count on Kiriako to play golf, workout, watch Game of Thrones, or hang out with friends. Kiriako is very outgoing and is looking forward to his role on the YAL Chicago Conference Board.
